UPDATE: Palo Alto Weekly Article link:
PASA wins Women's
Team Title at the Short Course Nationals held in Federal Way,
WA Dec 3-5. Since college teams are ineligible for team
awards during the school year PASA (who finished 3rd behind CAL and
USC) won the women's title by a slim point and a half over
King Aquatics of Washington (185.5 to 184). This marks PASA's
first national women's title in team history. The team title came
down to the final relay (the 4x100 free relay) where King held a
six and a half point lead on PASA, so that we would have to beat
them by four places to gain the victory. In a tightly
contested battle going into the final 50, PASA was in 3rd followed
by King in 4th, but the King swimmer faded to 7th giving PASA the
team title.
