Our
PASA site at Rinconada currently hosts 3 meets
each swim year and is involved in organizing a 4th. We really need you to volunteer for these meets as it
takes a lot of bodies to run one! Most of these Meets go on all day
but the jobs are divided into different shifts. As well as jobs
that occur on the day there are also a few jobs that need to be
done beforehand. This year we will be
asking for giftcard donations for grocery stores to purchase
items for Hospitality and the Snack Bar. A $50 Costco giftcard will
earn you 4 volunteer hours.
Although it may be a little daunting at first, helping out at a meet is fun! You learn
more about the sport your child is involved in as well as help to
provide an opportunity for them, and hundreds of others, to put all
that hard work into practice. When you
volunteer you get to know fellow swim parents, which means you have
more people to chat with while waiting on the pool deck or hanging
out at meets.

all of these meets are open to everyone but
everyone is invited to volunteer! You may
choose to work meets your child is swimming in or not. If you are
working you may not get to see them swim.
You
will be able to sign up to work all meets at
the club website. An email will go out
informing you of when you are able to do this.
