1. What is the PASC Direct Debit Program?

The PASC Direct Debit Program is a convenient service that allows you to authorize PASC's professional bookkeeper to automatically debit your monthly PASC dues payment from a banking account you designate on the 10th of the month that the dues payment is due.

2. Why should I use the PASC Direct Debit Program?

The PASC Direct Debit Program is convenient, since you only need to authorize the payment once and then your PASC dues payment occurs automatically. Also, PASC's professional bookkeeper knows the dues amount for your swimmer(s) and will automatically debit the correct charge.

9. I'm concerned about security and giving access to my account for payments. How secure is the PASC Direct Debit Program?

The PASC Direct Debit Program is administered by PASC's professional bookkeeper and Wells Fargo Bank. It is similar to debits that people frequently authorize to conveniently pay their home mortgage payments, car payments, utility payments, or other recurring payments. You can get additional information about the program at the Wells Fargo web site at: http://www.wellsfargo.com/com/ceo/faq/security.jhtml

10. Isn't it careless to allow easy access to my banking account by strangers?

The PASC Direct Debit Program is professionally managed and allows only PASC's bookkeeper to make changes you authorize. Wells Fargo has designed the Program with security as a very high priority. For example, access to the supporting software at Wells Fargo is secure, requiring "two factor authentication". This means that in addition to the familiar account name and password, access can only gained with an additional numeric code generated by an RSA securID token card. This is a physical device in the possession of PASC's professional bookkeeper that essentially generates a second, required password that changes every 60 seconds. In addition, all communications between Wells Fargo and PASC's professional bookkeeper are 128 bit encrypted.
